Rosie Goldstein – Executive Director & Founder

Combining her lifelong love of horses with her passion for helping others, Rosie Goldstein founded Spirit Horse Ranch Rescue and Education Inc., in June of 2016 and officially opened for business in May of 2017. A horse enthusiast since childhood, Rosie grew up on Long Island, New York, where her family operated a large horse boarding barn and offered wagon and saddle rides at Flushing Meadow
Park.

Those early experiences inspired her lifelong dedication to connecting people and horses. After moving to Asheboro, North Carolina, in 2002 with her herd of horses and ponies, Rosie deepened her involvement in the equine community and became a member of the Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH). Through Spirit Horse Ranch, she provides therapeutic riding, educational programs, and community outreach that enriches the lives of children and adults, including those with special needs, across the Randolph County area.

“When the idea of Spirit Horse Ranch began to form within my mind, sometime around 2013, I thought of all the horses I had been around in my life and how they helped me and others around me by just being. And all the joy they always brought to everyone. In thinking about what I would do when I retire, I knew horses had to play a big part. The idea of using them to help those that needed it in my community began to form. My vision became clear. This is my legacy. This is meant to carry on long after I am gone. For Spirit Horse Ranch to continue to grow and continue to help all that need it.” - Rosie Goldstein
